After over 30 years in Skåne - Anna Burstedt strengthens the team at SUA
She has researched the significance of the restaurant as a social arena, has been a study director at Lund University, and has lived most of her life in Skåne. Now Anna Burstedt is back in Skellefteå. In her new role as an innovation leader, she brings both the research perspective and her strong student focus.

After 34 years in Skåne, she describes her return as exciting. And a bit strange. Even though she still has muscle memory of certain hills she cycled during her teenage years, Skellefteå feels like a completely new city.
– So much has happened. When I moved away from here, I thought the city was quite small. Now there’s a completely different pulse, a strategic investment, and a life that I didn’t appreciate in the same way back then.
Moreover, the fact that she has taken over a family farm in Byske, a 17th-century house that requires care, makes the move back home even more special.
– When you are young, you often long to leave, but now I value completely different things in life. I suddenly realized that I want to grow potatoes in the spring.
