New forum to strengthen collaboration at Campus Skellefteå

Last Thursday we held our first education council at Campus Skellefteå. A fairly simple but important initiative. Because a lot is happening here: more programmes, more stakeholders, more initiatives.
At the same time, it is easy to work in parallel without really having an overview of the whole. And then we also miss opportunities that are right in front of us.
The education council is a way of changing that. An operational conversation in which we share what is in the pipeline, pick up on opportunities early and see where we can do things together rather than separately. What became clear fairly quickly was that there is both a willingness and quite a few natural points of contact, but that we need better visibility and more forums where they can actually emerge.
The aim is to gain a better overview, stronger relationships and more joint initiatives that lead to tangible improvements, both for students and for the campus as a whole. And, in the longer term, a more cohesive Campus Skellefteå.
“It was both enjoyable and valuable to meet everyone in person – it really does make a big difference. I see this as a fantastic start towards a stronger and more vibrant campus,” says Anna Burstedt, education developer at SUA, who initiated the council.
